Waiting.
I find myself waiting for food, for people to arrive, for the lights to go down at the start of an event, or for a stubborn stop light to turn green. I wait for things that are out of my control. Which I've noticed is quite a bit. But, usually I'm not the only one waiting.
As it turns out, every period of waiting is a moment of observation or reflection. People, not just artists, tend to actually look around them while they're waiting. Maybe it's boredom or a daydream stupor but I'm thankful for these moments because while we wait, I not only to get more observed drawings, but have space to think myself.
Oh, and I hope no one was waiting for me to post :)
